So after a great nights sleep right by the Chelmer and Blackwater Canal at Beeleigh Falls I am again up at 5:30 just as the Maldon Golf Clubs groundsman is opening the gate by the bridge with my camera again to capture the sunrise number two !!! The canal and river look stunning with the mist on the water and the sun coming up :)
Then it's back to the van with Mag awake for breakfast and a read before deciding what to do today ??? It's too nice a day to drive anywhere and we are in the near perfect spot already so we decide to walk to Tesco's for a paper :)
We cross the footbridge over the Blackwater and head for Beeleigh Abbey which was founded in 1180 but very little remains but it a lovelly Tudar house now with peacocks in the garden :)
We follow the Blackwater down to Maldon docks before turning back to our favourite Tesco's where we spend £10 on lunch, papers and cake for later :)
After crosing the canal we go through Elms Farm Park past the lake and onto Langsford with a nice mill :) Then one last feild to the lock by our van spend the rest of the day just relaxing in the sunshine watching the world go by enjoying the boats on the water and our books.
The only downside is other people behaviour :( kids who walk miles carrying bags of goodies from Tesco's and just leave all there rubbish behind !!! and dog walkers who pick up their dogs***t in a bag and then just throw it into the nearest bush like a Christmas decoration - people are so'oooooooooooo sad and just don't care :( Mag and I spent an hour walking around near the van picking three BIG bags of rubbish just to say thankyou for parking and spending the day in such a great spot !!!
